Overall Purpose of Role:
We are seeking an engineer to work within the Software Configuration Management team, which has responsibility for all software builds/deployments within Pocket Kings and the development/management of the appropriate supporting software tools. The Build Engineer will be a key member of the IT Services team and as such will work closely with a variety other teams.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Developing/Maintaining tools for the automation of -
- Build and release processes
- Software Installers
- Software deployment
- Monitoring processes
- Data/Status visualization
- Tools integration
- Reporting
- Creating technical design, programming, documenting, administrating, troubleshooting and fixing bugs
Skills / Experience Required:
- Degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or IT related discipline
- 3+ years industry experience in Software Development
- Good scripting/programming skills (perl, php, powershell, ksh, batch)
- Experience in java, .Net, C/C++ is an advantage
- Experience with VS Studio, nant, ant, (ni)make
- Experience with integrating different systems and working on different OS (Win, MAC, Linux)
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking and agile development environment
- Ability to work well with other teams
- Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure
- Proven track record of dependability
- Quick learner
- Good technical, analytical and communication skills
- Experience of WIX, VISE X, Install Shield, Install Anywhere, NSIS, Advanced installer and/or similar installation products is an advantage
- Experience in using SCM Tools such as: SVN, AccuRev, ClearCase or other industry standard tools is an advantage
- Experience with databases: SQL, MySQL
